CBASS cannot function without the graduate and faculty volunteers who graciously donate their time to help with setup/cleanup, presentation judging, and other aspects of the symposium. Below are the different tasks and times, as well as a link to a doodle poll to sign up. If you are a BSGSA member, you will of course get service hours for volunteering.
For each task, there will be different meeting places and time frames involved. After we have enough people signed up, we will email specific instructions to those volunteers and post the details on this website. Thank you for your time and effort! We couldn't do this without you volunteers.
We need faculty volunteers to help with judging:

**In assigning judges to talk and poster sessions, we will do our best to minimize the time you will be asked to spend judging and avoid any conflicts of interest with students working in your lab. Please do not hesitate to contact us before CBASS if you find that something needs to be changed in your judging assignments.

Saturday, 2/25 - Poster Tour Mentor @ LSF 1:00 to 3:00 pm: This is a new program we are trying out this year. Grad students will volunteer 20-30 minutes of their time during the poster sessions to guide undergraduates through attending a few posters. The idea is to mentor them in how to engage at a conference, how to get the most out of both attending and giving a poster presentation, and how to make an effective presentation. If you have any questions about this new program, email Ramiya Kumar ([email protected]).
